It depends on size, lean, and what is underneath it. A big silver maple hanging over a roof with no yard access costs more than the same tree standing alone in an open field, because one is a rigging job and the other is a felling job. That is why we walk it before quoting instead of guessing from a photo. The estimate is free and you get the number in writing.
No. Most of our estimates happen with nobody home. We walk the property, look at access and what is overhead, and send you the written quote. If you would rather walk it with us and point things out, that works too, just say so when you book.
Yes, cleanup is in the quote, not an add-on at the end. Chips, limbs, and debris leave with us. If you want the trunk cut to firewood length and stacked instead, tell us up front and we will leave it.
We plan the job around them before a saw starts, and we put ground protection down where equipment has to cross grass. If our crew damages something, we repair it. That is not a goodwill gesture, it is part of how we quote the work.
Normally stump grinding is a separate line on the quote. On a qualifying removal booked this month it is included, along with hauling the grindings and filling, leveling, and seeding the spot. That is the offer that is running right now.
No. You pay after the removal, the stump work, and the cleanup are finished. If something on our completion checklist gets missed, we come back and finish it at our expense.
Qualifying projects are completed within seven business days once approval, access, and any required clearances are ready. If a delay on our end pushes it past that, you get another $250 off. Storm damage gets prioritised ahead of scheduled work.

For a tree on your own property, generally no. Street trees and anything in the right of way are handled by the city, and Lawrence in particular has its own rules about clearance over sidewalks. If your tree is near the street we will tell you which side of that line it sits on before you book anything.
We work Monday through Friday, 8 to 5. We do not run an overnight line. Storm damage gets moved to the front of the schedule during business hours rather than dispatched at 2am.
